WATCH DEPARTMENT MANAGER

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our esteemed team as the Watch Department Manager. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of our watch collection, ensuring unparalleled quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence as we embark on an exciting phase of expansion and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, enhance brand presence, and expand the watch department's market share.
Team Management: Working with the senior management team to lead and inspire a team of watch specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence.
Product Curation: Curate an exceptional selection of luxury watches, aligning with the brand's image and customer preferences.
Supplier Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with leading watch brands and suppliers, negotiating terms and maintaining mutually beneficial collaborations.
Merchandising and Display: Oversee the presentation of watches in-store, ensuring compelling displays that captivate customers and highlight the unique features of each timepiece.
Sales and Customer Service: Drive sales targets through effective sales techniques, exceptional customer service, and a deep understanding of the watch market.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, optimise stock assortments, and implement efficient replenishment strategies to meet customer demand and minimize excess inventory.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, utilising insights to inform product selection and business strategies alongside the management and marketing teams.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and uphold the highest standards of product quality and authenticity.
Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, tracking performance metrics and profitability to maximise return on investment.
About You
▪ Proven experience in a leadership role within the luxury watch industry, preferably within a retail environment.
▪ In-depth knowledge of luxury watch brands, trends, and market dynamics.
▪ Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
▪ Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
▪ Strategic mindset with the ability to drive business growth and profitability.
▪ Proficiency in inventory management, sales analysis, and budgeting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent based in Bedford
Schedule: Monday – Saturday on a 5-day week Must be able to work Saturdays
Location: Bedford, UK (Ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work)
