LIGHTS OUT!
FORMULA 1 RETURNS WITH TAG HEUER
Earlier this month, the Formula 1 season commenced in Bahrain with an exhilarating race, culminating in Red Bull driver Max Verstappen securing first place on the podium. TAG Heuer boasts a remarkable partnership with both Formula 1 and the Red Bull racing team. There is no better time than now for us to explore this historic partnership and collection, built for those who live life at full speed.
Built for speed, the casual sports watch worn by Formula 1 legends has a metal bracelet with driver extension to fit over the sleeve of a racing suit. Highly shock resistant, it goes through more than 60 quality tests and can withstand whatever life's adventures throw at you.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Collection stands out for several key reasons. Firstly, its iconic racing-inspired notches on the bezel and coloured TAG Heuer shield, unique to the collection, make it instantly recognisable. Formula 1 timepieces are highly technical watches that are the result of over 160 years of pioneering watchmaking. Their blend of mainstream appeal, avant-garde design, and versatile looks cater to a variety of tastes. It's no wonder that they have become an iconic collection for TAG Heuer.
THE HISTORY OF TAG HEUER AND FORMULA 1
1970's
The partnership between TAG Heuer and Formula 1 began in 1971, then known only as Heuer. Jack Heuer struck a partnership with Scuderia Ferrari in 1975, making Heuer the first non-automotive brand and watch brand to sponsor motor racing, which featured Ferrari drivers sporting the now iconic Heuer watches.

1980's
The merger of Heuer and Tag, formed the company TAG Heuer, as it's known today. The brand shifted its sponsorship from Ferrari to the McLaren racing team in 1985. The following year saw the official launch of the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection, which was endorsed by McLaren drivers.
1990's-2000's
In 1992 TAG Heuer became the official timekeeper for Formula 1. Their best drivers could be seen wearing their top watch at that time, the hugely successful Formula 1. It was so successful that in 2004 TAG Heuer relaunched the Formula 1 collection, and also became the official timekeeper of the Indianapolis 500.
